Cost-effective architecture in a modular design.

The idea for a pixel structure originated from a study by the client, DNB Bank. It concluded that an ideal work group for its employees requires a room of six metres by six metres. Subsequently, the Dutch architectural firm Trio MVRDV designed a seventeen-floor building that consisted solely of individual pixel cubes of equal size. The pixel structure pattern is interrupted in the façade and the meandering circular route in the interior, which connects all of the floors to each other.

This consistently modular architectural design requires an equally modular system architecture. Only the innovative D+H AdComNet solution is equipped for this task. It is the only solution that ensures extremely flexible room use in spite of the necessary reduction in cable lengths and cable cross-sections. In addition, the intelligent AdComNet control system ensures cost-effective building operation. As a result, only a tenth of the usual power consumption per node is required.
